Dresser Before & After

It’s so hot here in Arizona.  I love to work projects in the house. My 6-yr old daughter has been ready for a new room.  She has had the same one since birth. She has picked aqua, bright pink, white and some black.  She would like some Paris decor throughout as well.

I go the thrifty way to do things.  I love garage sales and this is a find for $40.

Here’s a quick way how I refinished this dresser:

Step 1- Sand first

Step 2- Add 2 coats of primer

Step 3- Paint with your favorite color. This is what I chose.

Step 4- Spray 2 coats of clear lacquer (Polyurethane)

Final result……. voila!!  I bought the black knobs at Hobby Lobby.

My daughter is so happy with her new dresser and so am I! :)

Stay tuned for my next project and the reveal of the entire room…..yaaay!!!

    H Nancy…

Wow…how pretty. Love that color! It is very close to the Krylon color called watermelon. I did a 1950′s vanity in watermelon with a silver top for my 8 year old daughter’s room.

I think our daughters are two very lucky little ladies.

    Have a wonderful week!
