Christmas Tree 2012
I love Christmas! My girls love Christmas! Kids just make it so much more fun right?! I enjoy decorating our Christmas tree in different colors/theme every year. Let me share that I shop after Christmas every year. Hobby Lobby has a 90% off sale right after the New Year. I literally go to the store every day from January 3rd on so I don’t miss it. I have been collecting decorations over the past 16 years. I go to yard sales, Goodwill, and other thrift stores. I find so many cute things for cheap cheap cheap!! Nothing better than getting a good bargain! This is the only way I can afford to decorate our tree in different colors every year. Yeah…my family thinks I’m crazy…..LOL
Theme for this year- Candy Cane
Here’s the tree BEFORE:
Here’s the tree AFTER:
I love how it turned out. I found the striped poinsettas at Michael’s on Black Friday for 70% off!!! Score!
I like tons of ornaments and picks!
I don’t like traditional stars for the top of the tree……I usually end up doing my own thing with picks…..it’s super fun! You can see the topper from last year HERE.
I got these monogrammed ornament at Kirkland’s years ago on clearance……I love it!
While I was going through my totes, I found this ornament exactly like this from 12 years ago!!! HAHAHA!!! I used to straighten my hair all the time. Do you have a “First Christmas Together” ornament?
The big candy canes are from Hobby Lobby. I did snap the top of them because they had a hook to hang them. I just positioned them to look like a heart.
And there you have it, my friends!!!!
A Candy Cane tree for our home this year!!!!
