Royal Princess Party

Do you recognize this gorgeous family?!  Yes! It’s Trista Sutter, Ryan and their beautiful kids!

I was super excited Trista liked some of my items enough to include in the Royal Princess party for her daughter!

I made a ribbon garland for the desserts table…..I love how it turned out.

Candy.com is Trista’s store to get matching candy for the sweets table!

Press~ Raising Arizona Kids Magazine

I humbly share this interview with Raising Arizona Kids Magazine.  I was super excited because I had sent them a pitch last year and never heard back.  They contacted me last week and someone came to my house to interview me and take pics of my craft room where I work.  What fun!!

You see? I knock doors all the time.  I contact magazines, TV shows, blogs, websites, etc… I share my story, parties, crafts, etc.  I simply write a small letter introducing myself, submit ideas depending on the blog/website and add a few links to my work.  I encourage you to knock on lots of doors if you’d like to be featured.  If you don’t hear back, then try again and again until someone responds….lol

Thank you everyone for all your support!  I would have never dreamed this passion for parties and crafts would grow to what it is now.  It means the world to me!!  Do what you love and love what you do!!

WISH IT! DREAM IT! DO IT!

*Press* Arizona Midday Local TV show

Hello everyone!!!

I am back from spending Christmas with family in El Paso, TX!  I can’t believe how cold it was and it was snowing on Christmas Eve!!  My girls had so much fun!

I will be blogging this week about things and events I didn’t get a chance to post sooner like this one that happened this past summer…..lol

Back on August 8th, I appeared on a local TV show called, Arizona Midday

I had a lot of fun planning and coming up with ideas on how to “go green” for party decorations.  It was a quick less than 5 minutes segment, but I hope you enjoy the ideas I came up with.

My sweet friend, Andrea from LimeFlower Studio took these beautiful pictures for me.

Setting up before the show……

Toilet paper roll and a cardboard cupcake stand covered with zebra paper…..

Princess crown made with a cereal box….

Party hat made with a cereal box as well….

I save these small marshmallows because they were hard and made this centerpiece for my daughter’s bumble bee party!

Can of soup wrapped with scrapbook paper.  I added rocks and dead palms from my backyard.

Toilet paper roll wrapped with scrapbook paper

Recycled cans wrapped with scrapbook paper

Recycled baby wipes box to use as a gift box

I believe things don’t have to be expensive to look cute and it’s great to recycle.
If you like to be crafty, these are super easy and quick!

Which idea was your favorite?

~Press~ Go Gilbert! Magazine Feature

Things are a bit crazy this week since I just got back from vacation.  I didn’t get a chance to post the weekly “Wonderful Websites” post.  It will resume next week.

I am super excited to announce my very first feature on a local magazine called “Go Gilbert!”.  I am very thankful for the opportunity to share my story and how my passion for parties has evolved into something much bigger than expected.  I feel very blessed to be doing something I truly love!!  I hope you are inspired after reading this story.

You can read online. Go to page 22-23:  http://gogilbert.com/issues/2011jul/index.html
I’d like to add the editor selected the “Valentine’s Day” party photo on the right side (page 23).  This was a collaboration with Rebecca from Fresh Chick Design Studio.  However, her business wasn’t mentioned even though the link to her site was submitted.

Thank you so much to Go Gilbert magazine for taking the time to write about me, my business and the upcoming projects I have.

What do you think about my new business launching soon?  Did you catch that on the magazine?

Press ~ Sonoran Living Show

April already?! Wowsers!!! I’m not ready for my daughter’s party this coming weekend!!! I will be MIA the rest of this week….Now you know why….lol :)
Last Friday, I appeared on the Sonoran Living show.  I was asked to do a presentation on how to use the latest party trend, “printables”.  I had to bring my punches to show how easy it is to put them together!
I was super excited to feature Anders Ruff party printables.  The pretty girls behind this thriving business, Adria and Maureen, are super sweet!  I got a chance to meet them while I was in NYC this past January.
Back to the show….. I decided to style an Easter table.  I got gorgeous and yummy desserts from Cakes by Cassie.  She is local in case you live in AZ.
